And here we go !
We just arrived in Tamarindo after 2 days of travel (I was about to add “intense” but Amauy stopped me. We obviously don´t have the same sense of when intensity starts… This should prove to be interesting in the future months) and we can now finally post our first article. So here it is, 4 months in Central and South America where we will be looking for the beautiful, the weird and the funny. Discovering a country through its lands is great, but what we really want is to meet the people that make a country, its culture, its colours, its energy.
Both very attracted to handicrafts and fascinated by pretty much anyone who works with his hands, we will be looking for that all the way. Chloé being pretty inclined to nostalgia, we will try as much as possible to go meet those people and ask them about their “savoir-faire”and philosophy of life. Going back to the basics, the pure contact between humans and raw materials and what it does to you sounds pretty exciting to us!
According to what we read, Tamarindo seems to be the Cancún of Costa Rica and the land of spring breakers so this should be … interesting! Not sure whether we will find truly genuine craftsmen here but we will definitely meet with the pretty surfers and I´m fine with this.
